September: Collection of school supplies is going on now. There were blurbs in the bulletin.
We can have info in the Gathering Area this weekend and the next (17 & 18). Tomorrow's Saturday mass is at the Parish Center because of the church picnic, but I will have our info (pictures, flyers, a Thank You for the donations sign) in the Gathering Area for Sunday and all masses next weekend. If you can come a few minutes before and stay a few minutes after your mass, please linger in the GA to answer questions and thank people for their support.

October: the weekend of October 8 & 9th is the earliest we could have an insert. This one will have the Book & Bake Sale on one side and the Medical Mission on the other. I will have blurbs in weekly about both and have signs at the entrances asap.
Book & Bake Sale is Friday, October 14 (9-6), Saturday the 15th (9am -7 pm), and Sunday the 16th (8 am to 1 pm). Set up will be on Thursday the 13th after 4 pm in the church hall. You are welcome to help move boxes of books earlier. All clean up will be done on Sunday after 1 pm. We'll contact our usual friends to go through the left overs at 1 pm.
Sunday, October 30th is the Blessing for the Medical Mission Volunteers at the 11:15 mass. We hope most of you will be able to attend to support them. We will offer refreshments after that mass to give people time to mingle. We can have a table in the Gathering Area that day as well.

November: Our Medical Mission team flies to Haiti on Wednesday, November 9th. They will return on the evening of Tuesday, November 15th. We have a complete team (if all those who expressed interest apply and are accepted).

December: Our Medical Mission Report will be given at all masses the weekend of December 3 and 4. We usually have a power point of photos and a member of that year's team speaks about their experience. We will offer coffee and donuts following all masses on the Sunday. Maybe snacks on the Saturday as well.

April: Pack and mail boxes for the sea container shipment.
We host the last Soup Supper of Lent on Wednesday the 12th.

May: no events.

June: Insert on the 10/11 weekend for the Second Collection and the Bottle and Can Drive.
Our second collection weekend will be June 17/18- yes, that is Father's Day weekend. We will offer refreshments on the Sunday. We will have a speaker at all masses. We can show a powerpoint of photos and speak about the needs of our twin parish and express our thanks. We will have an info table in the Gathering Area.

July: Bottle & Can Drive on Saturday the 8th (9-5) and Sunday the 9th (9-5) in the Parish Center Parking Lot.

The rice ones are photos of the food purchased with money we sent for the school lunch program.
"For the food [school lunch]  for the children, I can tell you that we have enough for this academic year  2014-2015. The quantity of food purchased is sufficient through the end of  the school year.

Then the photo marked "school" is of the construction at the new school in Chauffard. When Caritas Suisse finished building, they left the space from the top of the classroom walls to the roof of the building empty. There is no drop ceiling on the classrooms and noise carries between rooms. Father Raymond had said last year this carrying the walls up to the roof would be needed. Below are his comments in last week's email.
"The Caritas Suisse [who built the new school] left it to me to make the separation of the classes. The work is in process.
